AUGUST 2022 | Copenhagen, Denmark
In the first show dancers demonstrate traditional latin spirit, ultimate believe and lifetime source of energy — latin rhythms. They’re using iconic Tito Puente’s “A gozar timbero” performed by a Grammy nominated Angel Meléndez & the 911 Mambo Orchestra to show how movements mirror & imitate authentic latin instruments and its sounds. Drums — through quick feet changes, syncopated movements & shaking of the upper part of their bodies, plate’s buzz — by doing sharp accents, high kicks and creating unexpected lines. At the same time Zhanna’s costume indicates spirituality & mystery of latin dancing and its roots & meanings.
Their second show is a complete change of mood. It sends you from a fortune teller’s room to the “Swinging Sixties”, when people’s searching for freedom & fun quite often lead to finding troubles instead. A funny cocktail of good & evil, where both are constantly changing roles delivered by dancers in a form of comedy. The show is completed by their choices of music and costumes styled as USA’s 60’s pop look. They used 2 famous tunes - originally performed by one and only Elvis Presley - but in a version [of Austin Butler] that’s coming from a new popular movie about the nature of the relationships between Elvis & his manager — to add another layer of meanings and make it even more interesting to watch.
